The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is a fascinating sports watch. Its history began in the 1960's, during the same time that Rolex became the official timekeeper of the Daytona Speedway. Early variations of the Daytona existed prior to this time. However, these models did not have the name "Daytona" or "Cosmograph" inscribed on the dial. The modern reference 116520 that we have listed here today has come a long way since the days when Paul Newman raced around the speedway. The finish is crafted from an upgraded 904L stainless steel forged in-house. The movement is also more reliable, offering anti-shock and anti-magnetic technology. This impressive chronograph still utilizes a waterproof Oyster case, protecting the movement within from extreme temperature variations as well as moisture damage. A flat link Oyster bracelet with a satin and polished finish adds the finishing touch and is secured by a folding Oysterlock clasp.

I just received my Daytona. Its a dream come true. I am a big race fan and have watched many accomplished drivers receive their Daytona on the podium. I will never get that chance but a guy can dream. Its my 60th this year and so I treated myself. I gave it to my wife to give back to me for my birthday. Win Win. The watch is in great shape with the box, hang tags and manuals. Since this is my first Rolex there was no way to get a brand new one (two year wait fro repeat customers) so I started looking. Bob's had a very fair price and offered me the watch I wanted in the condition I required with all the Rolex packaging. I shopped around and Bob's was the best.
