Rolex made waves in 2023 when it completely overhauled the iconic chronograph, discontinuing the previous 1165XX models and introducing the first new movement since the Caliber 4130 debuted in 2000, along with several notable aesthetic changes to the series. The ceramic bezel remains, but it's now trimmed in Everose to match the case. Additionally, the dial is decorated with slimmer hour markers on non-diamond models and sub-dials featuring slightly slimmer rings. The result is yet another example of how Rolex slowly perfects its designs to remain current without compromising its most enduring design codes.
