Impressive in design, the Rolex Daytona was first introduced to the world in 1963 as a means for professional racecar drivers to accurately measure speeds while driving. The modern Daytona Cosmograph features an impressive 40mm 904L stainless steel case with a tachymeter engraved bezel that is designed to measure speeds of up to 400 kilometers per hour. The bezel works in conjunction with the impressively made 4130 self-winding movement with Parachrom hairspring to offer the wearer a truly reliable watch. The chronograph can be programmed by the waterproof screw-down crowns that operate with an audible click. The sporty black dial features luminous hour markers, silver sub-dials, and luminous hour, minute, and sweeping second hands. This amazing design was originally crafted to appeal to the racing world and is still highly sought after today.

I just received my Daytona. Its a dream come true. I am a big race fan and have watched many accomplished drivers receive their Daytona on the podium. I will never get that chance but a guy can dream. Its my 60th this year and so I treated myself. I gave it to my wife to give back to me for my birthday. Win Win. The watch is in great shape with the box, hang tags and manuals. Since this is my first Rolex there was no way to get a brand new one (two year wait fro repeat customers) so I started looking. Bob's had a very fair price and offered me the watch I wanted in the condition I required with all the Rolex packaging. I shopped around and Bob's was the best.
