Pre-owned Rolex Daytona ref 116506 (2022) marks a major milestone in the brand’s history, the Daytona’s 50th anniversary. Launched in 2013, it surprised many collectors who expected a stainless steel and ceramic bezel update. Instead, Rolex unveiled its first-ever platinum Daytona. The result was a truly luxurious and unconventional release, complete with an icy blue dial, rich chestnut brown ceramic bezel, and a solid platinum case and bracelet. Inside ticks the legendary caliber 4130, a robust in-house chronograph movement that powered the Daytona lineup for over two decades. This reference remained in production until 2023 when Rolex introduced its successor, the ref. 126506. Now discontinued, the diamond dial Rolex 116506 has become even more desirable among collectors.
