Most notably, the ref. 116508 features a lustrous yellow gold finish, a vibrant green dial with tonal green sub-dials, and a red Daytona logo - a bold design set that was always meant to turn heads. Rolex released the yellow gold stunner in 2016, producing it for a relatively short time before it was discontinued in 2023. More recently, in 2025, the gold/green design set was revived alongside ref. 126508, which has already been dubbed the "John Mayer 2.0." Fascinating nicknames aside, ref. 116508 is a stand-out chronograph. It couples impeccable Rolex gold with the Crown's signature green hue and the famed in-house caliber 4130.
