Pre-owned Rolex Daytona ref 16528 (1990) is the watch discerning collectors are after, not just because it is a coveted gold Rolex, but also because it has a fascinating history. Before Rolex developed and produced chronograph movements in-house, they outsourced automatic movements to Zenith and the "El Primero" movement. Rolex then modified that movement and labeled it the caliber 4030, the same movement powering this incredible piece of Rolex history. Many have since come to call the 5-digit Daytona equipped with the caliber 4030 the "Rolex Zenith." The gold iteration for sale here is a champagne dial Rolex with sleek black chronograph sub-dials, red text, and stopwatch functionality.
