Reference 14270 introduced several notable features to the Explorer family when it was unveiled in 1989, such as a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a lacquered dial topped with applied indices. An updated movement sets this reference 14270 apart from its predecessors and provides a quicker, more precise reading. Reference 14270 also brought with it a classier design that includes hour markers set in 18 karat white gold. This provides a dressier, more versatile look that will easily fit in at the office or while trekking through the mountains. Originally designed as the ultimate companion for exploring tough terrains, this sports watch is built with an impressive Oyster case with a watertight seal that is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions and higher altitudes.
