Pre-owned Rolex Explorer ref 14270 (1996). The Explorer is one of the simplest models in the Rolex sports watch catalog. While it doesn't boast a timing bezel like other sports watches, the watch does offer an incredible durability and legible reading. These features create a watch that is prepared to tough any terrain you might explore. Most famously, an early prototype of the Explorer, which was simply called the Oyster Perpetual, is rumored to have accompanied Sir Edmund Hillary as he summited the peak of Mount Everest. Since that time, the watch has been synonymous with mountain climbing and extreme sportsmanship. The Rolex 14270 for sale here pairs a tough stainless steel finish with a contrasting black dial topped with lume. The Oyster case is waterproof and is paired with an equally tough Oyster bracelet with three-piece links and an Oysterlock clasp.
