The Explorer is a classic adventurer's watch that was developed for use while scaling sheer cliffs and navigating through treacherous rapids. The first model was introduced shortly after Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary became the first men to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Its design celebrates the ingenuity required to accomplish such a feat and remains one of the brand's most sought-after entry-level watches. The ref. 214270 is a very desirable 39mm edition of the Explorer that also includes a resilient Oystersteel finish and a classic black dial adorned with baton and Arabic hour markers. This example is in excellent condition and is a very desirable variation of the Explorer line.
