Rolex celebrates the pioneering spirit of every collector with an impressive and timeless collection of professional series watches, each catered to a different niche profession. The Explorer was developed shortly after humankind first reached the peak of Mount Everest. Its design is tough enough to brave nearly any terrain on the planet, including the highest and coldest mountain peaks. Reference 114270 is a contemporary take on the Rolex Explorer that has since been discontinued. For a while, it was the only 36mm option within the series. However, the company recently brought the Explorer 36mm back via ref. 124270. With supply already limited on the retail level, interest in ref. 114270 is on the rise.
