The 6-digit GMT Master II made its first appearance at Basel World in 2005 and introduced the watch world to the "Super Case" or "Green GMT Hand" model that is seen here today. This reference features a memorable design with the addition a black maxi dial topped with larger applied luminous hour markers in yellow gold settings, matching sweeping hands, and an independent green GMT hand. It also showcases the new ceramic Cerachrom 24-hour bezel that is designed to assist the wearer in keeping track of several time zones simultaneously, a feature that was originally designed for professional pilots and is now a favorite among Rolex collectors of all walks of life. An updated calibre 3186 self-winding movement powers this watch and features the latest watch-making technology with a 48-hour power reserve and an anti-magnetic and shock absorbent blue Parachrom hairspring. An all-gold 18 karat yellow gold design on the 3-piece link Oyster bracelet, folding Oysterlock safety clasp, and 40mm waterproof Oyster case elevates its status as a luxury watch.
