Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 16760
One of the most famed Rolex GMT Master II's is the reference 16760. The very first GMT Master II, the reference 16760 required a thicker case to accommodate the upgraded calibre 3085 movement, thus earning it the iconic nickname the "Fat Lady" or the "Sophia Loren". Larger crown guards pair well with the proportions of the thicker case, giving this particular men's Rolex sports watch a robust profile. The GMT Master II introduced a 24-hour hand that could be independently adjusted without disturbing the current time. This meant a more accurate reading while traveling. The GMT Master II 16760 that we have here today also offers a black dial set with patina Tritium lume in white gold surrounds, Cathedral hands, a red GMT hand, and a jump date at the 3 position. The only bezel option available for the Rolex GMT Master II 16760 is a red and black variant commonly referred to as the "Coke" bezel.
