Pre-owned Rolex GMT-Master ref 16700 (1989) was developed as a dual-time tool watch. By reading the arrow hand against the 24-hour bi-directional rotatable bezel, the wearer can keep track of both home and local time simultaneously. It's a prized collector's item for its nostalgic design set and its place in Rolex history. This was the last version of the GMT-Master and replaced the 16750. This reference was in production from 1989 to around 1999 where it was made and sold at the same time as the GMT-Master II, ref. 16710.
This example is in overall excellent condition with a sharp case and comes complete with its full set of box, papers, booklets and even serialized hang-tag - a nice time capsule. The papers show a sale date of 4/17/1990. We don't see this reference in this kind of condition often so when this came in we were excited to share it. If you are in the market for a full set 16700 with "Pepsi" bezel - look no further!
