Vintage Rolex GMT-Master ref 16753 Circa 1987 is in overall great vintage condition. The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear. The inside caseback is stamped “16750.” The numbers are clearly visible between the lugs. The bezel insert is in excellent condition with light wear; its a later service replacement. The dial and hands are in great condition and both have developed light patina. The once glossy dial has aged where it's not as glossy anymore; this can be hard to notice. The 4 o'clock hour marker and the top of the second's hand show signs of wear. The lume on the dial and in the hands have developed patina and aged to a matching creamy, almost ivory, off white color. This watch has a no. 62523 two-tone jubilee bracelet with 22 links and no. 450 end links. The clasp is stamped "J7" indicating it's from 1985. The bracelet is in overall great condition with normal signs of wear and a little stretch between the links.
Vintage Rolex GMT-Master ref 16753 Circa 1987 was the last two-tone model before Rolex introduced the GMT Master II in the 1980s. The most notable difference between this model and its successors is that it doesn't have an independently operating GMT hand and can only display two time zones - one via the dial and the other via the bezel. This generation is powered by the caliber 3075 with hacking seconds and a Quickset date and features a vintage acrylic crystal instead of modern sapphire. Many collectors are after this watch for its unique and inherently vintage design elements and its place in Rolex history.
