This edition of the barked Day-Date ref. 18078 includes a mesmerizing Tiger's Eye stone dial, which is topped with yellow gold indices and hands and creamy Tritium plots. The Day-Date is also characterized by a jump date at 3 o'clock, and the day spelled out in full at 12 o'clock. The Rolex 5-point coronet logo is also present on the dial, making this timepiece instantly recognizable. This watch was advertised as circa 1983 in excellent condition. I could not find one flaw on it. It is as close to mint as any watch I have seen at a dealer's store. The bark finish is much more stunning in person than it is in photographs. I am beyond pleased that I made the choice for the bark finish. Anyone else deciding on bark finish, do yourself a favor and see one in person. They are fabulous!
