However, the history of the Rolex 218238 didn't begin until 2008, when the first model featuring a larger 41mm case debuted. It only remained in production until around 2015, when Rolex discontinued this modern collection in favor of the slightly smaller 40mm model. Its unique place in history, coupled with the distinction as a discontinued Rolex, makes the Rolex 218238 model a prized collector's item among avid collectors.
