The calibre 9001 self-winding movement is constructed out of an incredible 380 parts, 60 of which pertain to the ring command bezel alone. A certified chronometer, the calibre 9001 utilizes a shock absorbent Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and a 72-hour power reserve for reliable and convenient timekeeping. The main attraction on this timepiece, however, is the extraordinary functionality of the dial. Inspired by the Greek lunar and solar calendar, the dial is equipped with Arabic hour markers that double as month indicators, a 24-hour subdial, a date display at the 3-hour marker, and sweeping hands. By adjusting the ring command bezel and crown, one can set both their home and local times, creating a watch that sets the bar in sophisticated watch construction. A true Rolex Collector's Item.
