pre-owned Rolex GMT-Master 16700 black dial
As the last reference in the original GMT Master collection, the ref. 16700 is a highly prized collector's item. The ref. 16700 remained in production until 1999 and was sold alongside its successor, the GMT Master II. For years, collectors preferred the 16700 for its affordable price point and classic pilot's watch aesthetic. It was the first GMT Master to feature a sapphire crystal as well as white gold surrounds on the dial and a newer-style case. Depending on the year released, the ref. 16700 includes either a Tritium or Luminova display on the dial. The example that you see here today was produced near the end of the line's production run in the late 1990s and includes Tritium lume on the dial, a stunning red and blue aluminum Pepsi bezel insert, and a caliber 3175 Perpetual movement.
