This watch maintains its classic sporty style while also increasing its durability with the addition of Rolex's resilient 904L stainless steel on the Oyster bracelet, folding Oysterlock clasp, and Oyster case. The 60 minute bezel has been upgraded to ceramic Cerachrom with platinum coated graduations, offering a durable style that won't scratch, fade, or corrode, even after years of exposure to salt water. This is paired with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that will withstand everyday wear and tear. The 40mm "Super Case" gives this sports watch a larger presence on the wrist without actually increasing the case size. Wider lugs offer a broader look without over taking the wrist, allowing you to wear the watch, not the other way around. The addition of a screw-down case back and a Twinlock screw-down crown allows the wearer to take their watch a far as 1,000 feet, making this the ultimate diver's tool. Within the case itself lies Rolex's calibre 3135 self-winding movement with a Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and a 48 hour power reserve.
