In recent years, Rolex has been introducing a noticeably more modern aesthetic to their line of sports watches, utilizing cases with broader lugs and upgraded materials. The Submariner ref. 116610 boasts what collectors refer to as a "Super Case", which features fatter lugs and a new-style bracelet with solid components. A Cerachrom bezel also accompanies the case and utilizes an innovative ceramic material insert for a resilient finish that won't corrode or fade after years of exposure to sunlight or salt water. The new case also boasts a maxi dial, which displays the time via larger hour markers and hands filled with Chromalight lume. While this particular preowned Rolex offers a modern design, it still boasts the classic Submariner style.
