By Paul Altieri
The Submariner debuted at Basel World 1954 in stainless steel. With its substantial waterproofness, dial topped with lume, and 60-minute bezel, it made sense that the company's diving tool watch would initially be presented in all-steel. All-gold Rolex watches, however, were also a coveted status symbol and, in the 1960s, Rolex released a yellow gold variation. The ref. 16618 was among the first of the all-gold Submariner dive watches and pairs a satin and polished 18 karat yellow gold finish with a blue dial and bezel. The used Rolex 16618 is a relatively newer reference from the late 1990s and also utilizes a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a unidirectional time-lapse bezel, and a depth rating of up to 1,000 feet.

Just got my new relax love it ! First time ever ordered jewelry online. I felt a little crazy wiring the money for a piece of jewelry I have not seen But I was wrong they came to me by FedEx and it was perfect.
Owning and wearing the yellow gold Rolex Submariner with the blue face and bezel is something I will never get tired of. Well done Bob's for making it affordable.
Received next day and it looks great. I love wearing it around the office.
