The Rolex Submariner reference 168000 is a transitional model that is integral to the history of the Submariner diver's watch. Produced for less than a year in 1987, the Submariner Rolex 168000 is also a rare find. This particular men's reference utilizes the same movement and dial as its predecessor the Submariner 16800, but the same case as the newer reference 16610. Along with the Submariner 168000 also came an upgrade from 316 stainless steel to 904L steel. Other standard Submariner features apply, including a waterproof Oyster case, a unidirectional timing bezel, a matching black dial topped with lume, and a steel Oyster bracelet secured by an Oysterlock clasp.
