Rolex Datejust 16253 "Turn-o-Graph"
The Rolex Datejust Thunderbird boasts several "firsts", including the first Rolex to offer a rotatable bezel, as well as the first Rolex tool watch. Created as an asset for combat pilots, the Thunderbird was also an official military watch. The reference 16253 that is offered here today is equipped with a 36mm Oyster case capable of withstanding depths of up to 330 feet as well as high altitudes. The rotatable Turn-o-Graph bezel can be adjusted by the wearer to measure increments of time, increasing its functionality while flying. This two-tone reference is also accompanied by a five-piece link Jubilee bracelet and Fliplock clasp, creating a timepiece that looks like a dress watch and offers the functionality of a tool watch.
