By Paul Altieri,
With the growth of airplane travel, Rolex teamed up with the world renowned airline Pan American Airways in the early 1950’s to help their pilots fight the effects of jet lag while travelling through different time zones by creating the Rolex GMT. Following the popularity of the initial GMT-Master reference 6542 in 1954, Rolex introduced a successor to the reference, the 1675. The reference 1675 stayed in production until 1980 and would become the watch of choice for many collectors in the decades to come as this was the first version with crown guards, making it the recognizable shape that remains to this day.
This beautiful timepiece has everything a collector could want, style, uniqueness and durability. This 1675 has a recently polished case that shines and shows off its crisp lug bevels. The Mark IV dial is in excellent shape and is free from any blemishes or damage. The hands have been color matched to match the dial perfectly. The red and blue, fat font, bezel insert has a dramatic pattern to its fading that will thrill any Rolex collector. The bracelet is a 62510h Jubilee link bracelet and is in good shape, showing typical wear for it age. This is a nice piece for a great price, don’t miss it! The whole transaction process with Bob's is always top notch. The vintage watch was functioning as expected, the case is relatively strong with minimal polishing, and the dial is a beautiful service dial as expected.
I really like this beautiful 1675 with fuchsia bezel.

I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
