Rolex Yacht-Master 16628
The men's Rolex Yacht-Master hit the market in 1992, featuring a design that is not too unlike the Submariner with a similar dial layout and 60-minute bezel. What sets the Yacht-Master apart from other models in the Rolex catalog is its inherently more luxurious aesthetic featuring more elegantly tapered lugs and a bezel in full gold. The watch was developed for yachting and regatta, so it makes sense that the Yacht-Master would exude a certain level of class and sophistication. Ref. 16628 was the inaugural model, which came in 18k yellow gold. Features include a matching champagne dial decorated with Super-LumiNova, a bi-directional bezel, water resistance up to 100 meters, and the high-beat cal. 3135 self-winding movement.
