Pre-owned Rolex Yacht-Master 40 ref. 16628 (2003-2005) was the first model in the series when it was released in 1992. Initially, the glitzier Yacht-Master was only available in gold. However, Rolex eventually introduced Rolesor models to the mix, all while maintaining the collection's status as a more refined alternative to its dive watch collection. Meant for adventures above the waves rather than below, it features water resistance up to 100 meters. Compared to the Submariner at 300 meters, it becomes evident that this watch is positioned as a more luxurious companion for regattas and other special occasions. The example you see here features a rich blue dial with Tritium, adding a vintage element to an early 2000s Rolex.
