Description: Tudor Big Block 94200 Silver Dial
Pre-owned Tudor Big Block ref 94200 (Circa 1985) what is now known as the "Big Block" collection from the mid-1970s until around the 1990s. The series ushered in an important era in Tudor history featuring automatic mechanical movements instead of hand-wound and a three-register dial layout instead of two sub-dials. Three bezel variations of the Big Block chronograph exist, including stainless steel (ref. 94300) and the black acrylic ref. 94200 for sale here.
This example is in overall great condition and has been well taken care of over the years. These remarkable Tudor chronographs offer a lot of value because they look similar to the coveted Rolex 6263 Daytona, including the screw-down chronograph pushers and acrylic bezel, but for nearly 1/10th of the price. What's also interesting about the vintage Tudor Big Block is that they use many Rolex components like the crown and bracelet. The case back even says, "Original Oyster Case by Rolex." Eventually, Tudor would transition to using only Tudor-branded components.
