Vintage Tudor Ranger II 9111 Stainless Steel

This Tudor Ranger II is in great, honest vintage condition. The stainless steel case is in great condition with some light scratches and normal signs of wear. The inside caseback is stamped "CRS." The "Original Oyster Case..." text on the caseback is all in tact and clearly visible. Serial and reference numbers on the underside of the lugs are clearly visible and crisp. The engine-turned steel bezel is in great condition with some scratches and light wear. The blue dial is in overall very nice condition with some patina giving it an oil slick/psychedelic appearance. The lume has developed patina and aged to a lovely yellow color. The dial shows some wear around the lume plots, a bit around the hour markers and on the edge of the rehaut. We have seen this before with other blue dials. The lume on the hands have also developed some patina that has aged to a lighter yellow color than the lume on the dial. The 7587 integrated bracelet is in overall great condition with some scratches/wear throughout and nearly no signs of stretching between the links. It has 9 links on the bracelet, but because each link is so large, it will wear up to a 7.5" wrist. The clasp is stamped "A" corresponding to 1976. The crystal has some scratches and wear. 

Vintage Tudor Ranger II was released in the 1970s and was a generational leap for the Ranger line. There are two variants of this model, one with a set of dial and hands that closely resemble the look of another integrated sports model within the Tudor line, the much later North Flag. The other, being the one we have here, is closer to the look of the later Rolex Date reference 1530 with its dial, rehaut, and hands resembling each other more. This watch oozes 70's design vibes with its large-link integrated bracelet, tonneau-esq shaped case and larger engine turned bezel that mirrors the smaller links in the bracelet. But this watch sadly has not really gained the hearts and minds of collectors today, even though integrated sporty watches are still highly coveted. It is without a doubt a quirky model in Tudor's history that has been largely forgotten about, but it also makes for an interesting conversation piece that other watch collectors probably have not seen before.

This example features a lovely blue dial with engine turned bezel and with matching center links that tie it all together adding to the interesting and funky athestic. This example comes from the original owner and managed to keep its full kit over the years. These Ranger II's are not very common and taking this one to the next level is that this is complete with box, papers, receipt, and hang-tag!
