This Tudor Snowflake is in overall good, attractive vintage condition. The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear. The caseback has some scratches and small indentations, but the text is still clearly visible. The inside caseback is stamped “IV.68.” Between the lugs have some scratches and wear; the numbers are visible between the lugs while the text is more faint. The bezel insert is in great condition and has faded throughout and now presents as a light greyish-blue with a hint of lavender. The pip at 12 is a replacement. This watch has retained its correct non-triplock crown (no 3 dots) and roulette style date wheel. The blue dial is in overall great, attractive condition with some patina. The edge of the dial shows some wear (2 o'clock). The dial has some marks that can be hard to notice. The lume on the dial has developed light patina and has remained white. The hands have developed patina and when looking closely the hour hand shows some cracking to the lume near the middle. The lume in the hands has aged to a similar color to the lume on the dial. This watch has a C&I Rolex USA rivet bracelet with 12 links and the clasp is stamped "1-69" indicating its from 1969. The bracelet is in overall good, honest condition with scratches and normal signs of wear throughout; the end links show some wear and scratches on both sides. The bracelet has a bit of stretch between the links which is not uncommon.
Pre-owned Tudor Submariner ref 7021 (Circa 1970) offered the "Snowflake" style hands on the Submariners since 1969 with this reference the 7021. The 7021 came out around in 1969 and was the first Tudor Submariner to offer the date function. Tudor offered these in blue or black. Tudor offered these in blue or black. Collectors tend to gravitate towards these blue Snowflakes because the French Navy / Marine Nationale chose this color to issue in the 1970s. The blue dial on this example has been dubbed a "confetti" dial by collectors because when looking at it under magnification we can see little blue and green specs that are reminiscent of confetti.
