This Tudor watch is in overall good, attractivre vintage condition The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear. The caseback has some scratches and the "Case by Rolex..." text is clearly visible. The numbers are visible between the lugs. The blue bezel insert is in good, honest condition with some scratches and wear. The blue dial is in attractive condition and the top layer of gloss has some cracking / spidering throughout; this can be very hard to notice depending on the lighting and angle. The lume on the dial and in the hands has developed some patina and aged to a lovely creamy color. This watch has a folded Oyster 9315 bracelet with 12 links, no. 380B end links, and divers extension. The bracelet comes with 11 fold over links and divers extension. The clasp is stamped “R8” indicating it’s from 1993. The bracelet is in overall good, honest condition with stretch between the links and normal signs of wear. The bracelet and divers extension are signed Tudor.
These Tudor Submariner ref. 79090s were offered with either blue or black dials with matching bezels. This example is the former with a beautiful dark blue dial and blue bezel. 1990s Tudor Submariners offer a great value and have a nice blend of modern and vintage characteristics. Tudor still used acrylic crystals and non-white gold surrounds on the dials into the 1990s. In addition, the depth rating is "meters first" giving a vintage nod to 1960s Rolex Submariners. If you are looking for a Submariner that is a little different and blue, this is something to consider!
This Sub comes on the folded bracelet, but wanted to offer it with a grey NATO as well because it works so well with the blue and aged bezel.
