Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea 116660BLSO D-Blue Dial
The Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller is unlike any other watch in the Rolex catalog. Not only does it offer an unheard of resistance to depths of up to 12,800 feet, but it also celebrates a historic moment in diving history, James Cameron's descent to the deepest region of the ocean. This watch was not present during that historic journey. However, it beautifully represents the pioneering spirit that accompanied such a feat. In order to venture more than 12,000 feet below the surface of the ocean, the case is hermetically sealed via a Triplock screw-down crown and a screw-down case back. A helium escape valve allows helium gas to vent without damaging the movement within. A Cerachrom unidirectional bezel flawlessly times decompression stop while returning from deep saturation dives and is accompanied by a striking two-tone blue gradient maxi dial. The case is paired with a three-link 904L stainless steel Oyster bracelet and Glidelock clasp for a secure hold. The case itself is larger than traditional Rolex sports watches to accommodate the construction needed to travel to such depths, creating a distinct style that is unique to the Deepsea Sea-Dweller.
