Unworn Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea 116660 D-Blue Dial
The first Deepsea model to come to market was ref. 116660 in 2008. James Cameron famously wore a Deepsea on his wrist during his 2012 dive to the Mariana Trench, an event that Rolex commemorated by releasing the D-Blue dial Rolex 116660 in 2014. Also referred to as the "James Cameron Rolex", this ref. 116660 is a highly coveted collector's item. Perhaps, the most notable feature of this reference is the use of a blue gradient dial, which was developed by the brand to resemble the transition of the ocean water while returning to the surface from deep saturation dives. As a newer preowned Rolex, the ref. 116660 also features a maxi dial filled with Chromalight lume, a Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert, and a flat-link Oyster bracelet secured by a Glidelock clasp.
