Pre-owned Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea ref 126660 (2022) is Rolex’s modern take on its most extreme dive watch, released in 2018 as a thoughtful update rather than a full reinvention. It kept the Deepsea’s iconic size and presence, but introduced the next-generation caliber 3235 along with subtle refinements to the case and bracelet that made the watch feel a bit more resolved on the wrist. At 44mm, it’s unapologetically large, and that’s exactly the point. This is the Deepsea at its most purposeful, built for depths most people will never come close to reaching, yet still finished with the same attention to detail you’d expect from Rolex. The upgraded movement brought improved efficiency and a longer power reserve, while the familiar Ringlock construction kept it firmly in “depth king” territory. After a relatively short production run, Rolex replaced this reference with the Deepsea 136660 in 2022, which only adds to the appeal of the 126660. It’s a modern, short-lived chapter in the Sea-Dweller story, and one collectors have already started to take note of.

I've been wanting a sea dweller since I bought my green submariner in 2004. I am so glad I waited until the 2018 deep sea version was developed. 44mm case will sand up to any pressure in saturation diving and feels great on my wrist. Glide lock clasp is micro adjustable and strong. Helium escape valve dumps helium accumulated during saturation diving. Bezel action is super smooth. Buying from Bob's is important as they can be trusted.
