Pre-owned Ladies Rolex Datejust ref. 279173 (2021) is the current-production iteration of one of the most traditional Lady-Datejusts. At 28mm, it is slightly larger than the 26mm cases used by previous generations, giving the watch a little more presence while maintaining the petite proportions that have long defined the collection. This example is made from Yellow Rolesor, pairing Oystersteel with 18k yellow gold on the fluted bezel, winding crown, and center links of the Jubilee bracelet. The champagne dial is decorated here with fine sunray brushing that creates subtle shifts in tone as it catches the light, while gold-tone hour markers and hands perfectly complete the watch face. The five-piece Jubilee bracelet is especially fitting here, considering it was originally developed for the Datejust’s debut in 1945. Inside is the self-winding caliber 2236 with a Syloxi silicon hairspring and approximately 55 hours of power reserve.
