used Rolex Submariner 16803
The very first dual-tone Submariner was the ref. 16803, which came to market in 1983. A transition model, the Submariner was considered the steel and gold variation of the 16800 and was equipped with a then-new calibre 3035 perpetual movement as well as a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and an improved depth rating of up to 1,000 feet. This variation of the brand's diver was only in production for a few short years, making it a bit harder to find on the pre-owned Rolex market. The ref. 16803 that is presented here today pairs the two-tone finish with a handsome black dial topped with a luminous display and a matching black aluminum bezel insert with gold 60-minute graduations. If you're in the market for a used vintage Sub with an intriguing history and timeless style, the ref. 16803 is an excellent option to consider.
