The Rolex Presidential Day-Date was developed in 1956. The first calendar watch to offer both a day and date aperture; the Day-Date has come to symbolize Rolex's ability to create high-performance and extremely well-made timepieces. Only the finest materials are utilized when producing the Day-Date, including precious metals such as yellow gold, white gold, and platinum. The reference 118239 that is offered here today features solid 18 karat white gold in a satin and high-polish finish. Men's Rolex dress watches that utilize Rolex gold are expected to increase in price in the coming years. A COSC certified calibre 3155 self-winding movement is built to include a date and calendar wheel as well as a Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and a 48-hour power reserve.
