The newest variation of the James Cameron Rolex Deepsea is powered by a next-generation calibre 3235 Perpetual movement. The calibre 3235 still operates on self-winding technology but now boasts anti-magnetic technology, high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers, and an impressive 70-hour power reserve. The case is robust, measuring 44mm in diameter and approx. 18mm thick, and also features a Titanium case back for a lighter weight on the wrist and a new-style bracelet with slightly wider lugs and a Glidelock clasp for a balanced hold. The ref. 126660 displays the time via Chromalight plots that emit a bright blue glow for up to 8 continuous hours, and features a striking D-blue gradient dial that was developed to commemorate Cameron's historic solo dive to the bottom of the Marian Trench. The newest Deepsea also features Rolex's widely sought-after Cerachrom bezel insert crafted from tough ceramic material.

I've been wanting a sea dweller since I bought my green submariner in 2004. I am so glad I waited until the 2018 deep sea version was developed. 44mm case will sand up to any pressure in saturation diving and feels great on my wrist. Glide lock clasp is micro adjustable and strong. Helium escape valve dumps helium accumulated during saturation diving. Bezel action is super smooth. Buying from Bob's is important as they can be trusted.
