Pre Owned Rolex Explorer 14270 - Rare Blackout Dial
This example of the Explorer ref. 14270 features a rare "Blackout" dial with black enamel Arabic 3, 6, and 9-hour markers and Tritium hour markers at the remaining hour positions and matching Tritium Mercedes hands. When the ref. 14270 first came to market, early variations featured a glossy dial set with distinctive Arabic markers filled with black enamel. These variations were produced in limited quantities from 1990 to 1991 before being replaced by the more commonly found white Arabic markers.
