Pre-owned Rolex Explorer 36 ref 124270 (2021). After the previous generation expanded to 39mm, Rolex brought the Explorer back to its traditional 36mm sizing in 2021, a change that many longtime enthusiasts welcomed immediately. The result is a watch that feels balanced, understated, and incredibly versatile on the wrist, just like the early Explorers that helped shape the collection’s reputation. The design is still very intentionally simple. Its black dial is decorated with the signature 3, 6, and 9 Arabic numerals, paired with Mercedes hands and long-lasting Chromalight lume that glows blue in darker settings. Everything about the layout prioritizes quick legibility, which has always been central to the Explorer’s identity, dating back to the mountaineering-inspired models of the 1950s. The smooth bezel and brushed Oystersteel case give the watch a clean, no-nonsense aesthetic that's perfect in almost any setting. Powering the watch is the Rolex caliber 3230 automatic movement with a longer 70-hour power reserve.
