Used Rolex GMT-Master 16700 - "Pepsi" Insert
The GMT Master was developed in the 1950s as a pilot's tool watch. Its design includes a 24-hour rotatable bezel that can be adjusted by the wearer to sync with a second time zone, which is then displayed by a dedicated hand on the dial. Today a common variation of the line includes a red and blue "Pepsi" bezel insert in similar colors as the Pan American Company, the airline that inspired the development of the GMT line. The ref. 16700 is the last reference in the line before being discontinued and replaced by a version with an independent GMT hand. Its feature set includes a brushed steel finish, the Pepsi bezel, and a black dial topped with luminous hour markers and Mercedes hands and is a popular choice among preowned Rolex collectors.
