This particular preowned Rolex is notable for showcasing a 40mm Oyster case and a sapphire crystal sans the Cyclops magnifier over the date. Its successor ref. 126600 would go on to receive a larger 43mm case size and a Cyclops lens on the crystal, making this ref. 116600 very desirable among collectors who seek a ceramic bezel Sea-Dweller with a smaller diameter. The line is famously equipped with a Helium Escape Valve, allowing it to withstand depths of up to 4,000 feet and making it ideal for deep saturation dives.
Excellent watch. I bought mine in 2016 at a discount as it was just discontinued. A 21/2 year run of production makes a scarce watch with good value and potential for increase in value. Before my 116600 I wore a 2014 BLNR. Since I purchased the SD11660, it has become my daily watch! It’s the perfect Sea Dweller!!!!
