The Rolex Deepsea ref. 116660 came to market in 2008 and is characterized by a remarkable depth rating of up to 12,800 feet/3,900 meters. This incredible waterproofness is the result of an innovative case that utilizes a triple-sealed Triplock screw-down crown as well as a thicker 5mm sapphire crystal, and a Helium Escape Valve. The iconic deep saturation diver also boasts a dial topped with a luminous display that is legible in most environments as well as a unidirectional time-lapse bezel and a resilient 904L-grade stainless steel finish. The case is understandably a bit more robust than traditional dive watches and wears on a flat-link Oyster bracelet that is secured by a folding Oysterlock clasp for a comfortable hold on land or while at sea.
