Pre-owned Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea ref 116660B (2015). The Rolex Deepsea ref. 116660 was introduced in 2008 as the most capable dive watch Rolex had ever made. Developed to withstand extreme pressure at nearly 4,000 meters, it pushed well beyond what most people would ever need from a wristwatch. The design wasn’t subtle either. Thick crystal, reinforced case construction, and a noticeably larger profile than a Submariner or standard Sea-Dweller. This particular version, the ref. 116660B (2014 – 2018), is the one with the “D-Blue” dial. It shifts from a rich blue at the top to near black at the bottom, inspired by James Cameron’s descent into the Mariana Trench. At 44mm, it has real presence, but it never feels like it’s trying too hard. Helium escape valve, serious water resistance, and a movement that’s meant to keep going. It’s one of those watches that reminds you just how far Rolex can take things when it wants to.
