Pre-owned Rolex Sea-Dweller ref 126600 (2018) marked a big moment for the collection when it was introduced in 2017 for the Sea-Dweller’s 50th anniversary. For the first time, Rolex brought the model up to a 43mm case and added a Cyclops lens over the date, something the SD had gone without for decades. It made the watch more practical for everyday wear without forsaking its purpose as a serious diver. It also brought back a bit of vintage inspiration. The red “Sea-Dweller” text on the dial is a tribute of sorts to the early single red references from the late 1960s. Coupled with the modern case and bracelet, it ties past and present together in a way that feels intentional. It still has everything that defines the Sea-Dweller. 1,220 meters of water resistance, a helium escape valve, and the robust Oyster case. Powered by the caliber 3235, it’s a serious dive watch, just updated for a newer generation.
