Used Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea JAMES CAMERON - 116660B
The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea is known by many names, including the D-Blue dial and James Cameron Rolex. It was developed by the brand in a very rare move to commemorate the infamous director's decent 11,000 feet below the surface of the sea, during which he was wearing a Deepsea watch. The dial features a striking blue gradient color that was designed to mimic the dark waters of the deep ocean. The name "Deepsea" is also inscribed in a striking green font that matches the Deepsea Challenger that Cameron was aboard during his dive.
Other than the dial, the ref. 116660B is similar to other Deepsea models, offering a depth rating of up to 12,800 feet as well as a Cerachrom unidirectional time-lapse bezel, larger hour markers and wider Mercedes hands, and a 44mm Oyster case. The case utilizes a titanium case back for a lighter weight on the wrist as well as an innovative ring-lock system and a Helium Escape Valve (HEV), allowing it to achieve its impressive depth rating.
