Developed for mountaineering, the model is equipped with Rolex's incredibly tough waterproof Oyster case as well as a Perpetual movement with self-winding and a black dial topped with a highly legible and contrasting display. The result is a tool watch that can go nearly anywhere you roam without skipping a beat. Thanks to the all-steel construction and the time-only function of the movement that powers this watch, the ref. 14270 is also available today for a very attractive, entry-level price. This edition was produced some time in the late 1990s and is in overall excellent secondhand condition.
