The first Yacht-Master debuted in 1992 in all gold, with the Rolesium steel and platinum ref. 16622 hitting the market a few years later in 1999. The ref. 16622 was a massive success, offering a mid-level price for collectors as well as a more versatile finish that is suitable for almost any occasion. The Yacht-Master itself is a regatta timepiece, offering waterproofness of up to 100 meters, a highly visible dial with a luminous display, a secure Oyster bracelet, and a 60-minute bezel. The bezel on this used Rolex is crafted from sand-blasted platinum and can be adjusted by the wearer to sync with race start times or measure increments of time while sailing. Despite its roots as a sailing watch, the Yacht-Master enjoys a large following among collectors with impeccable style.
