The Yacht-Master debuted in the early 1990s and is available in several metal finishes and case sizes. The ref. 16628 is the yellow gold variation that showcases 18 karat yellow gold in a satin and polished finish as well as a traditional 40mm Oyster case and a white dial topped with black hour markers and luminous hands in yellow gold surrounds. The case is topped with a 60-minute bezel with raised and polished graduations. This striking feature was developed for use while sailing and can be adjusted by the wearer to sync with regatta start times. Luxurious yet functional, the Yacht-Master represents the prestigious world of professional sailing well and is widely sought-after by used Rolex collectors who seek a bold statement piece.
