Pre-owned Rolex Air-King ref 126900 (2026). The Rolex Air-King has a fascinating history, dating back to the 1940s when Rolex created it as a tribute to RAF pilots from World War II. It was always meant to be a simple, legible watch, and for decades it stayed pretty understated. That changed with the ref 116900 in 2016, which introduced the bold aviation-style dial with large 3, 6, and 9 numerals and a prominent minute scale, something completely different from earlier Air-Kings. Ref 126900 builds on that modern design but refines it in a few key ways. The case has been updated to the current-generation proportions, with slimmer lugs and a more balanced profile than the chunkier 116900. The dial now includes a “0” before the 5, improving symmetry of the minute track, and the 3, 6, and 9 numerals are luminescent for improved legibility. It also features crown guards for the first time on an Air-King, giving it a slightly sportier feel. Inside is the newer caliber 3230, replacing the 3131 from the 116900 and offering a longer 70-hour power reserve.
