Vintage Rolex Datejust 6105
"Ovettone" is the nickname given to the bubble-back Rolex watches from the 1940s and 1950s. Italian for "Big Egg", Ovettone refers to the robust shape that the bubble back gives to the case. Since the era of the Ovettone Rolex watches, the movements that beat within the case have been refined and so have the case profiles, making the ref. 6105 a rare and desirable collector's item. The used Rolex that is presented here today also boasts a striking 14 karat yellow gold finish as well as a fluted bezel, an acrylic crystal over the, a date mechanism sans the usually-present Cyclops lens, and a dial topped with a yellow gold display filled with luminous material in a warm patina.
